Should i avoid sun after getting ear piercings?
After getting ear piercings, it is advisable to avoid direct sun exposure for the first few weeks. The healing process is sensitive to UV rays, which may cause irritation, redness, or even slow down healing.
To protect your piercings, wear a wide-brimmed hat or use an umbrella to shade the area from the sun.
If you must go outdoors, consider applying a thin layer of sunscreen around (but not directly on) the piercing area once it has healed enough, usually after a few weeks.
