Can i change the dermal piercing jewelry myself?
While it is possible to change the dermal top yourself, it is recommended to have a professional piercer do it to avoid damaging the anchor or the surrounding tissue.
If you decide to do it yourself, ensure your dermal piercing is fully healed and gather sterile tools and gloves. Clean the area with saline solution, then use dermal forceps to secure the anchor while unscrewing the old top and attaching the new, sterilized one.
After the change, clean the area again and monitor for any signs of infection or irritation.
