About Siete
Priscilla Luera, known as Siete, is an award-winning tattoo artist from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas with five years of experience who has established herself as a standout talent in the San Antonio tattoo community. Her accomplishments include first place in large Neo-traditional and third place in both large Color and Traditional categories, demonstrating her technical mastery across diverse artistic approaches.
As a 30-year-old queer Tejanx artist, Siete’s path to tattooing began after realizing the corporate world couldn’t contain her creative spirit. Her decision to pursue art again, while dedicating her life to sobriety, transformed her understanding of tattooing as both a personal expression and a healing practice.
Siete draws inspiration from nature and Mexican culture, channeling these influences into her specialized work. She excels in Mexican Traditional tattooing a Chicanx approach to Americana that represents Mexican-American culture through positive, transformative imagery. Her expertise extends to Chicano Fineline and Ornamental styles, allowing her to create intricate designs that honor cultural authenticity.
Her commitment centers on providing quality artwork within safe spaces for clients. Siete believes intentional tattooing serves as healing and personal liberation, viewing tattoos as protective armor unique to each individual’s authentic self. This philosophy, combined with her technical skills and cultural expertise, positions her among San Antonio’s most respected tattoo artists.
What inspires you as an artist?
Nature and Mexican culture inspire me as an artist to create, transform, and evolve as a person.
Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist?
Someone should choose me as their artist because I am a safe space. I believe intentional tattooing is a form of healing and a catalyst for personal liberation. Tattoos are a protective armor unique to one’s authentic self and I’m very grateful to be a part of the journey.
